In this lecture style class you’ll learn techniques for how to create a paper pattern from your favorite garment.  We’ll discuss construction order, how to add in elements like darts and gathers and ideas for creating different garments from one pattern. Some Classroom Business

Hello Everyone! As the sewing classes here at Yellow Bird Fabrics are becoming increasingly more popular (yay!) I just wanted to mention a few items of business to be aware of.

Please sign up for the classes before attending - It just so happens that if no one signs up for a class beforehand, the teacher will not be showing up to teach class! Please be aware that class sizes are limited as well and so it really is important that you sign up for classes before attending to make sure that we have room to accommodate you. Contact us to sign up! You can even sign up the day of the class, so don't let that stop you!

Please be on time - From now on classes will be starting promptly at the time indicated on the class schedule. If you're not here, we will start without you. Additionally, be aware that some of the classes start right when Yellow Bird Fabrics closes for the evening - the doors will be locked and many times we can't hear anyone knocking on the doors from downstairs.

Want to shop? Come early! - Everyone in the class receives a 20% discount on all shop goods the night of the class. Please come early to shop and get your goodies.

Please put your cell phones on silent - Cell phone calls are very disruptive and disrespectful in class and not only that, you are here to enjoy yourself and learn something new away from the cares of your daily life!

Thanks so much everyone! I want to add that everyone is so supportive and encouraging and its so wonderful to meet new faces! If it weren't for you all, it wouldn't be as fabulous and exciting to sew!
